11 Months and Playing in the Sun!

Whew! These months just go by so quickly. I can't believe its almost been a year since this lil' guy came into our lives. This time last year, I was feeling rather large...even though I didn't look it! I know! And was nearing the end of my first year teaching math. Crazy!

Swingin'
Gigi and Traegon exploring
Two weeks ago, Katie came to visit! We had a blast!!  We went to the park with our friends Gigi and Meesha. Traegon tried out the swings for the first time and loved them. We also had a yummy lunch there too. In SLC, it was snowing, and we were playing outside in the sun. Ha! We just love the weather here. We also walked the strip: Bellagio Fountains, Cheesecake Factory (yum!), and the Bellagio Gardens - where they had butterflies in the greenhouse. Katie has a butterfly unit for her 2nd graders, so this was just perfect! We relaxed and watched movies, ate yummy food, made earrings, went shopping, and so much more! So fun, so fun! Thank you sister for coming! I sure love you!

Sisters!
The mark on Traegon's nose is when he fell off the bed (quality parenting right there for ya)

Visiting Granddad the Great in Cedar
Last weekend we went up to Cedar for my friend Linsey's graduation. I'm so proud of her and it was so fun to see her. We had a lovely time at the Parowan Park with her family for lunch. It was a little windy and Traegon kept trying to eat the grass...but it was so nice to visit! We also had a really delicious dinner with Ben's Aunt Mary, Uncle Dan and Granddad. We had grilled bbq chicken and salmon. Yum! We miss being so close. Also, sorry to those friends we didn't get to see, our visit was very short so we'll have to catch up with you guys next time!

Ben and Traegon at Cheesecake Factory
Ben is done with his first busy season for the accounting firm he works for. He survived! It was a lot of hard work and we're so proud of him. We've been enjoying lots of family time. He has a couple CPA tests left and will start taking those soon...so that means back to studying! He got in the 90's on the test he didn't feel as prepared for (ha!) and in the 80's on the hardest one. He stressed over the last two so much and did an amazing job! He's so smart. He does well under pressure though, as you can see.

Here is what Traegon is up to at 11 months:
Blanket hut - aka refusing to nap
- Still gallops on his belly, but now will get on all fours and rock back and forth. Sometimes he gets going so fast with his gallop he sounds like a squeaky toy.
- Does the stink bug, by stretching out his legs while on all fours and sticking his bum up in the air.
- Growls.
- Laughs to himself all the time.
- Very dramatic: whenever he meets new people, he'll give them a smile then a really sad frowny face and then smile again.
- Loves to eat. Even after we've fed him, he still wants food from our plates too.
- Licks legs and arms.
- Bites when he's in a bad mood and nearing his nap-time...or if you get your fingers too close to his mouth!
- Naps regularly 9/10 am - 11/12 pm and 2/3 pm - 4/5 pm.
- Loves baths and splashing. I usually let him have at it with the shower curtain pulled and me peeking around the corner.
- Plays longer with non-toy items and dumps out his toy basket to play with the basket instead...
- Loves stroller rides.
- When we go to get him from a nap or in the morning he pops up and greets us with a huge smile.
- Eats grass if I'm not careful.
- Says "dada" often and "mammm" only when he's sad or wants something.
- Scrunches his nose and breathes in and out really silly like and sometimes snorts.
Well, I'm sure there is so much more. He's such a cutie and happy, well...most of the time. :)  We sure love him!
Huge smiles and cute Sunday outfit from his Auntie Katie
